“Nor was it the mind of the apostles that they should be left without relief which were unduly cast out of the church by any Diotrephes…”
(Updates added to this site on 2nd January 2020)
Welcome to the website of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of Ireland (Relief). This website is always under development, and, it is hoped, DV, that information and articles will be published here on an on-going basis. If you are seeking information which you had hoped to find here, but can’t, please contact us using the form provided, and we will seek to oblige.
As a church, we preach the good news of salvation, by faith alone in Jesus Christ. “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” I Timothy 1:15. Church is not a gathering of the morally good and great; it is a gathering of sinners, saved by God’s grace (i.e. credibly professing saving faith in Jesus Christ; along with their children). All mankind lost communion with God and are under His wrath and curse. And God requires of us that we exercise faith in Jesus Christ (His appointed Saviour) and repentance unto life, if we would be saved. And it is within the church that Christ our Lord then builds us up; strengthening our faith in Him and perfecting our obedience to Him, especially through the preaching of the Word, prayer, and the Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord’s Supper).
Our purpose on this website is to share with you the heart of Christian doctrine and practice; to provide you with access to an electronic library of solid Christian teaching; and our prayer is that you, if you are not a believer, will embrace Jesus Christ, freely offered in the gospel, and, having done so, with all true believers, ‘love Him with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind and your neighbour as yourself.’ (Matthew 22:37-40)
